The lazy summer has infected us here. Not much writing is being done and outdoor shenanigans are on the rise.
1) Asher on a bike.
He's at that age now where he's ready to be a big kid, no matter that his legs still dangle and his feet don't totally reach pedal-length. The pride on this kid's face? Too. Much.
2. Hand Lettering.
I always love to find artists who produce something I wish I could create myself. Coco & Mingo's hand-lettering image of lyrics from the Foo Fighters song Everlong (a long-time favourite) is so gorgeous. I want to frame it and hang it over our bed.
3. Writing in Wicklow.
Last week my CIFF (Canadian Irish Friend Forever) Allison whisked me away for an inspiring drive in the Wicklow Mountains, just south of Dublin. Our reasoning was to immerse ourselves in natural beauty and let the words flow. I think we did more coffee drinking than writing, but my soul was fed as we sat next to this river in the Vale of Clara, breathing in the life-giving scent of earth and water. More words and pictures will be shared from this trip soon...
4. Beautiful bookshops.
Skyscanner.net compiled a list of the 22 most beautiful bookshops in the world. This one is my favourite (though they're all pretty spectacular).
5. Taking the long way home.
These are my five favourites from this week. What are yours?
